For representative exams such as the SERIES 7, you will also be required to get the SERIES 63 Uniform State Law Exam License. The Series 63 is a small less complicated exam that mostly focuses on state securities laws and good common business practice. This includes Suitability situational questions. There is no sponsorship required to sit for the series 63 exam.
The SERIES 65 EXAM is to become a Registered Investment Advisor. The SERIES 65 is for fee based financial advice. The 65 also does not require sponsorship
