The Series 27 Financial and Operations Principal Exam tests that each person has the knowledge and understanding of the financial responsibilities, rules and record keeping requirements of broker-dealers. It is a 145 question test with a 3 hour and 45 minute exam time limit. Broker dealers that have a min. net capital requirement of $250,000 and municipal securities brokers with a minimum net capital requirement of $150,000 must register as a principal with a Series 27 License. A Broker dealer can have more than 1 Series 27 person who is licensed.
