FLORIDA LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

Individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED in to become a licensed real estate agent in Florida.

Persons must Complete a 63 class hours of pre-licensing courses and put in the correct paperwork as well as passing the Florida licensing exam.

Persons must then Submit an application with the state licensing fee and fingerprints

Pass the Florida Real Estate Agent Exam with a 70% passing grade or pass the Florida Real Estate Law Exam with a grade of at least 30 out of 40 points.

Individuals must then activate their Florida real estate license along with having your employing real estate broker activate your license online.

You will need to complete a post-licensing Florida Real Estate course for sales associates with at least 45 class hours prior to your initial sales license expiration. This also applies to people with an inactive license.

Limitations

According to the Florida Division of Real Estate a minimum grade of 70% is required in order to pass the final exam. If you fail the final exam, you must wait 30 days to retest. You will only be allowed two attempts at the final exam. If you fail the exam twice you will be required to re-enroll in the course, and you will need to go through the entire course again in order to take the final exam.
